Great unit. Junk-like app

Efficient & quick with a poor app. Does the job well in our basement-we went from 80% plus humidity to a comfy 50-55% overnight. It would have been a 5 star review if not for the app & connection process: it's horrendous. I'm amazed how a big industrial conglomerate making good products can miss this critical user interface. The app needs an update ASAP

Excellent quiet performance

We moved into a new home with a large basement and were told that it is important to reduce the humidity from the new concrete. We had an older dehumidifier, but it was not turning off when it reached the desired humidity. The Frigidaire unit is great and the wi-fi connection allows me to check on how it is doing without going down to the basement. I had no interest in having wi-fi, but I now see how convenient it can be. Very quiet unit.

I am really impressed with this dehumidifier. I especially like the Ionizer feature which helps it work as an air purifier also. The app is great and easy to use however I wish it notified you when the bucket is full.

General Works well

This system does a great job of quickly reducing the humidty. It takes a while for the tank to fill up. The baility to drain with a hose is also nice. Some things that could be better: there is no cut-off on the hose so its easy to get wet when installing or removing, the app is not great and sucks that it doesn't work with Homekit (i.e. apple/Siri). Also the app doesn't alert you when the bin is full. Other than that it works really well and we are quite happy!

This dehumidifier is awesome! I love that it has an ionizer and that it can also be controlled from the app. My one complaint is that I haven't been able to figure out how to get the app to send me push notifications when the bucket is full - but otherwise this is an amazing appliance.

I've had the high humidity alert on my Ecobee go off off a few times recently usually while cooking. Started looking at dehumidifiers and found that the larger dehumidifiers (50Pint by the EPA standards) are more efficient. Running it mostly during off peak hours, it does a pretty darn good job of keeping the house comfortable. One quirk to note, at least as far as I can tell, the ionizer can only be turned on with the app.The wifi features are a bit weak, there's only a timer, no scheduling options.I was able to find a workaround of using the Frigidaire Alexa Skill and two Routines. One for turning it off weekdays at 2PM and one for turning it on weekdays at 7PM.The Frigidaire Alexa Skill is missing handles for the ionizer, so when the routine turns it on at 7PM, it doesn't turn on the ionizer. Overall, I'm still very happy with this dehumidifier. One more smart device that saves money, in addition to keeping us healthier (less mold risks) and more comfortable. My next step will be to get a nice looking hose to route to a utility room drain to take advantage of the continuous drain.

I purchased this dehumidifier to replace an older, different brand model. I did very extensive research in order to find what I considered the best mix of features and performance. This humidifier is everything I expected. And more. It is extremely quiet, and I can control it from anywhere using the Frigidaire App. It brings the humidity down in the basement ad keeps there very quickly and very efficiently. Strongly recommend this product!

Significant improvement over my previous dehumidifier

With this in the basement it is nice to be able to control it via the app. It was a breeze to setup through the app and I have yet to have any issues with the app connecting to the dehumidifier. My previous dehumidifier had gotten quite loud and this is a big improvement. It's quick to bring the humidity levels down and I like the handle on top to move it around. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and I even told my mother to get the non-wifi version for her house.

Poor App

So far the dehumidifier part works fine. I used it for 5 hours without incident. Then I setup the app. It wasn't very complicated, but took a little time. After that the dehumidifier turned completely off 4 times in the next 24 hours. Also, one time, the settings changed itself. I set the humidity to 45% and it switched by itself to 60% hours later. I needed this to replace another dehumidifier that finally gave out. my guitar shop needs to maintain a certain humidity and needs constant monitoring. Also, once ,the app disconnected and I had to re-register and add the dehumidifier. I remembered how it worked fine for the first 5 hours when the app wasn't connected. So, i decided to remove the device from the app and try the dehumidifier without it. I had no problems for the next 24 hours. I speculate that the app is sending signals to the dehumidifier and shutting it off occasionally. I feel I should have saved my money and bough the dehumidifier without the wifi. This would have saved me $75. Or maybe I will will get lucky and they will fix this app and rid it of all these problems.

I bought this unit a month ago and waited to give it a proper review from some use. I am extremely happy with the purchase. One of the major factors contributing to my purchase was WiFi connectivity. I was a bit skeptical given some of the poor reviews regarding dropped connection. Also, people being unable to reestablish after being dropped. Maybe I am lucky but I haven't experienced this issue. The only negative comment I would have is not with the unit itself but with the Fridgeair mobile app. There are some improvements which could be made with it. For example, product registration did not work through my iPhone, it had some issues. I ended up doing it online.

I bought this Dehumidifier for my basement to help with the condensation building up on my HVAC vents. The unit is able to get my basement down to around 50% humidity.I've read over multiple reviews and many sites recommend going with a dehumidifier without a built-in pump since those typically break. I'm happy to say going with this dehumidifier was the right decision. I especially appreciate the WiFi and the ability to control it with Amazon Alexa. So convenient. By the way, some people say the WiFi is difficult to setup but it's not. Dead simple. Like the whole unit itself. Dead simple. It just works. That's all I can ask for.

I owned the previous version of this dehumidifier which still works well. Comparatively, the new version is quieter and the app/wifi connection works much better. The air filter is also much easier to remove now.

The WiFi connectivity is very useful for remote monitoring of the operational status without making numerous trips to the basement to see if the bucket is full. The dehumidifier is quiet too and sound is minimal even with the compressor running. Very pleased overall with the features and build quality.

I have two of these and the size of the tank and built in splash guard are the best. The efficiency of the unit is also amazing. I love the ion air filter as well. After making Salmon in microwave normally house stank for hours, but after getting this dehumidifier the smell was gone in minutes. My one complaint is the app is very buggy. You have to register the product online then find and set a shipping address. Then you can register. However, registration fails if anything in your app address is different than online or you have not set shipping address. If that was not bad enough if you have two units the app dies almost every time you open it. I have to open the app 40-50 times to get it to completely open on average. This has to be done every time you empty tank because for some reason the ion filter defaults to off.I still have to say even though the app is a pain this is the best I have seen. So yes I bought the second one knowing that the app was buggy. When they fix the app I. My opinion it will be perfect 5 stars

Broke in 48 Hours. Replacement NIGHTMARE

I originally bought a 70 pint unit from Lowe's and it broke after 48 hours of use. Frigidaire (actually, Electrolux) said they would replace it if I just followed their instructions. One of those steps was to cut the cord and send a pic - thereby rendering it useless and un-returnable to Lowe's. I did and they sent me a 50 pint unit. Not only is the 50 pint unit smaller than my original purchase but it retails for $100 less than the one I bought. So now I have a 70 pint unit I cannot return, a 50 pint unit that I have to empty more often, and I've lost $100 in the whole ordeal. I've called customer service numerous times and waited 45 minutes each time before I got through to someone. Keep being told a manager will return my call after I explain the situation but it's been 3 weeks now. Very dissatisfied!

The app is poorly designed, forgets your login information and requires you to register with all of your personal details before allowing configuration. I have to turn off my local wifi to use the app at all, and the appliance keeps dropping off my network. I'm not a technical neophyte either. Disappointed that I paid extra for 'smart' features that just don't work.

The dehumidifier is doing a great job, my issue is that the 'notifications' for the dehumidifier are only within the app - there are no push notifications. It defeats the point having to open the app to check what's going on with your dehumidifier when an event that requires your attention should notify you directly

Purchased this humidifier to replace that last two GE Humidifiers that quit working after 3 years each. This unit has so many more features than the GE models. I mostly like the wifi app that allows me to monitor and modify the current program from anywhere in the house. The basement has never been dryer and less dusty. So far a great purchase.

Wifi does not work, app is lousy

I too have had fairly poor customer service. Connecting via wifi took many tries, even after watching their video. Just FYI, you have to sign on to the dehumidifier as a wifi source in order to hook up. This is not intuitive. Even once doing this, it took MANY tried to connect. Once connected it asked me to register via app and kept giving me the same error message (ECP0108) to check my info (name/address, etc) for accuracy. I wasted hours last week and called customer service and wasted much hold time and then transferred to the ™€œSmart™€ department, where there are only 8 phone representatives and a busy signal most times when I call. I was given things to try on the PC browser and wasted another couple hours today (between phone and on my app and PC) still getting the same error message. I have bought several of these dehumidifiers, primarily because of the wifi access, and so far....not impressed with the unit, the support or the app. I should have read the iTunes reviews before buying this dehumidifier. Mostly 1 star out of 5. (I think the total rating at the time of this review was 1.4 on iTunes app)

Followed instructions on app it said it connected then it lost connection and I cannot get it to connect or back into set-up mode. I can™€™t find instructions and all web searches show others are having same problem. Seems like a good dehumidifier but I bought it for the controls and Wi-Fi feature. I am pretty disappointed for a Wi-Fi feature not having simple directions somewhere on the World Wide Web makes me think that there not a solution. I have spent thousands on Frigidaire appliances my only disappointment is this units Wi-Fi and instructions to fix. I am an IT professional so I can only imagine what others are feeling.
