Horrendous Warranty

I recenlty purchased this washer and equivalent dryer. We paid a professional installation company to install these units. After less than one week, the washer started making a continuous clicking sound. Then, it just stopped working. You'd turn on the machine, put it on a cycle, press play, hear two weird clicks and then the machine would turn off.
We contacted the store we purchased the units from about this issue and they told us to schedule a service with GE appliance online. The soonest appointment was almost 3 weeks away. I have three young boys agest 7, 8 and 9 and they run through clothes like crazy. How am I to wait 3 weeks?? We live in an area where there aren't many flush and fold places and because my wife and I work, we couldn't spend time at a laundromat. So we've been paying roughly $200 - $300 per week for a laundry service to do our 8-12 loads of laundry per week. We easily do 1-3 loads of laundry each day.
The repair person came and diagnosed that the inverter board needed to be switched out. He ordered an inverter board that came the following week. I had to schedule ANOTHER service call which is currently scheduled for April 12th. Mind you, this entire time the washing machine has not worked. It was BRAND NEW, less than 7 days old.
Instead of waiting, since I'm a licensed Plumber, I decided to install the inverter board myself (see photos).
I have spoke with GE Appliance Customer Service and their escalations department and beyond saying, "I'm really sorry", they aren't able to do antying. They keep refering back to the technician and that only the technician can fix the unti. They aren't able to get me a sooner appointment. They aren't able to get me a replacement unit.
All I did was purchase what was a highly rated and highly reviewed washer and dryer. It's been almost a month since this first occurred and I've no spent over $700 on laudnry service. I am so utterly disappointed with this experience. It is truy unbelievable that in this day and age, where Amazon and other such companies are able to exceed your service expectations, that I am still able to experience such a low level of product and customer service.
