Too much clicking!

Completed a kitchen makeover a few months ago and replaced the electric cooktop with induction. Really like the functionality of induction however we are having a difficult time with the constant clicking noise whenever the burner is being heated. I called the sales representative and he said that there should not be any noise so I placed a warranty service call. The service technician stated that it did appear that the noise was a little louder than what he had seen/heard on past calls regarding his knowledge of this product. He said that he would check with the manufacture and get back with me. After not hearing back from the technician for a few weeks, I called and left a voicemail asking for an update. No response for another week, so I called again. A person answered the call and after hearing my situation, he said he would contact the technician and get back with me. He did get back with me and said that the technician had contacted the manufacturer, Whirlpool and they said that it was working to specifications and therefore no problem. When I asked the person why the sales representative would say that the unit should not be making a clicking noise, he said that he must not have understood how the product works. I'm writing this review out of frustration because we had a dinner party last night and we were asked why was the cooktop making so much noise? Instead of talking about how quickly the unit heats and other benefits of this new technology, we spent time talking about the annoying clicking noise. This is just one of many situations where other people have asked us what is that noise. I read a lot of reviews on this product before the purchase and understood that it would make a little noise, however nowhere near this decibel level. For us, we would not have purchased this product knowing what we now know.
No, I do not recommend this product
