Whirpool disappoints, again

I'll start positive, it cooks well when it works. It does take a while to cool off after use, but it bakes/broils good. I'm not an avid cook, so after about 6 months and 5 uses, I cooked a frozen pizza per the instructions and after 10 minutes, the oven torched it to a total crisp. Glad I was in the kitchen to catch the smoke. The heat was so extreme, it created metal shards at the bottom of the oven. After contacting Whirlpool, they swiftly replaced the entire oven unit. A few months later, I used the clean cycle and upon completion, the entire oven cut off. Called Whirlpool back and they dispatched a technician who diagnosed a blown fuse. 2 weeks later, I'm up and running again...fast forward 1 1/2 years. Silly me, I used the self-clean option and guess what? Yup, another blown fuse. Because I'm out of warranty, this time, the Whirlpool Rep offers to sell me the exact same model for 40-50% of MSRP, which brought it down to regular price at any local merchants brand new and "on sale". Sigh. The Supervisor at Whirlpool gave me another option, which is to pay $289 for an extended warranty, then a repair person can come back out to replace the fuse (again). After an amicable debate, I declined both "generous" offers for a Whirlpool known issue. To add insult to injury, I politely told her I was going to escalate my issue since I'm not the problem, Whirlpool is. Whirlpool Management, if you're reading this, I'm SOO disappointed in your oven and other appliances. I don't know what has happened over the years, but you are no longer considered a reliable, quality appliance as once before. Pull up reviews on the internet and see for yourself. When did you stop caring? You wonder how companies go out of business? You're following the blue print to guarantee you'll be next from a long term perspective. Come back to quality and longevity Whirlpool before you keep loosing the majority of your customers. Simply put, I'm asking you to care again-quality control!
No, I do not recommend this product
