Disappointed

I have a family of 6 and run a full load of dishes every day, so I spend a lot of time loading, running, and unloading dishes and have clear, specific expectations for a dishwasher. The bottom spray arm on my old machine stopped spinning and we decided to replace instead of repair. I did a lot of research and decided on this CrystalDry Bosch. We've had it one a little over a month and I wish I had gotten the same brand & model I had before instead.
Pros: Cleans the dishes, quiet, third rack is more spacious and useful than most others, upper/middle rack level adjustment is handy.
Cons:
Drying – Nothing special. Gets glass, metal, and ceramics dry, but not plastic - same as most dishwashers. The main reason I purchased this model is because it was supposed to dry better than any others. It doesn't. Very disappointing. They should have added a fan or the feature that pops the door open when the cycle ends. And yes, I always use rinse aid and run it with the sanitize and crystal dry options on, and I have the intensive drying option turned on.
Space/loading – The tines are angled in a way that allows all the cups and glasses to fall over. While there seems to be more space overall thanks to the spacious third rack and adjustable middle/upper rack, the way it is set up makes it difficult to fit a lot of dishes. Also, the plastic items seem to end up flipped over and full or water no matter how I try to put them in. Call me crazy, but I've always felt like trying to fit a day's worth of dishes for 6 people in the dishwasher was a weirdly fun challenge - like a game of Tetris. Now I dread it.
Controls – Programing the special features on this dishwasher reminds me of programing a 1980's VCR, not user friendly. When you set it on delay, there's nothing to show you that it's set or when it will start to run. When it's running all you have is a red light/dot, there is no clock to show you how long is left and there's nothing that shows you when it has moved from the wash cycle to the dry cycle. After the cycle is complete, there is no indicator that the dishes are clean until you open it, then it flashes "Clean" on the control panel for about 5 seconds before it disappears. My old dishwasher had a countdown clock and a light that was blue when washing, red when drying, then white when done - and the white light stayed on until the dishwasher was opened and then firmly closed…which we would make sure not to do until we emptied it. It didn't really seem like anything particularly fancy or innovative, but it was light years better than what I have now.
Overall I'm very disappointed. I kind of hope the quality is as lacking as the design so it stops working in a few years and I have an excuse to get something different.
