Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future.
Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies.
It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Worst dryer ever
Submitted by wayshar -

We have nothing good to say. Dryer does not dry-water reservoir drawer get hardly any water in it. Tiny loads take 4 hours to dry. This is the worst. We have had 4 service calls we got the extended warranty and they all say it is working as designed. Get a vented dryer.

All day to dry

I was unfortunately forced to get a smaller electric dryer due to my space. That said Im not sure if my complaints are true for all electric dryers or just this one. The dryer is ok with small loads as it dries the load in ~2 hours. If I put in a medium/larger load especially including towels it literally takes 12 hours to dry. Ive made sure its on the right setting Ive cleared the water out after every cycle and it still takes this long. Ive also had issues with the stacking kit that comes with it as its very small and has broken loose.

Mixed feelings about the ventless dryer
Submitted by Horsefan -
5/8/2022
Probably this is not the review LG wishes. I had a full-size vented LG dryer for 6 years which I loved. This stackable ventless dryer offers only named cycles with no option for timed dry at different heat levels. Previously I dried all my wash except towels on a low setting. I do not have that option here and so have to make do with the permanent press setting for regular stuff e.g. cotton underwear or nightgowns and hope that nothing shrinks. The Delicate cycle on damp dry does nicely for polo shirts and embossed t-shirts that I typically hang up to dry. So at the moment I have a mixed reaction to it.

Very efficient
Submitted by Duluth Mom -
5/6/2022
I bought this a month ago and have been happy with it I have a full size washer and this dryer is smaller but has worked out great. I have always hung dry about half my loads of clothes delicates so what is left fits fine in this dryer. When I wash sheets or towels I just dry 1/2 at a time. I work from home so the time is not a problem for me. It does take almost 2 hrs for each full dryer load. I bought it because I wanted something more efficient that would use less electricity. This was the most efficient dryer I could find. Im very happy with it so far. I chose the LG over other brands because of the good reviews. Also it is quieter than my old dryer and I was able to close up the old dryer vent in the wall- decreasing heat loss in my home.

This dryer paired with the matching washing machine is a must have for small spaces. It has several features and settings for various types of washing loads. It is also large enough for a comforter despite is smaller size. The only down side is it is a bit on the pricey end.

Ventless dryer works well
Submitted by 52940 -
4/17/2022
I bought this ventless dryer as part of a compact stacking set in order to fit into a small space. I had never used one before but heard that they are popular in European countries. I like it so far. The clothes are very soft and nice smelling with no static electricity despite not using fab soft sheets. I just have to empty a water catchment cintainer at the end of each load that slides in and out of the upper left corner of the dryer. Amazing. Clothes are not a bone dry as with a vented dryer but dry enough.

Nice dryer. The heat pump technology is new to me. The clothes do not get as dry as they do with a typical dryer and it takes a lot longer but I understand it should be much more energy efficient. Overall I like it. The main reason I chose it was the compact size but a larger drum than what you get with a typical apartment style unit.

4-6 hour dry cycle for 1 load
Submitted by FumingMad -
3/6/2022
I bought this for a condo that could not accommodate an exterior vent. Most horrible appliance ever. Takes 4-6 hours to dry 1 load of 4 bath towels to damp-dry not fully dry. Are you kidding me. I bought a rack and hang dried them out of frustration then fluffed them in the dryer - they came out wetter than they went in Ran diagnostics no errors. Called service and they found appliance to be in proper working order and informed me that it takes HOURS to dry proper size loads. And yes I used normal not eco dry - eco dry is measured in DAYS of drying. Weird part - 1st ever load 1.5 hours to dry 2nd load 3 hours+ 3rd load and on 5 hours if ever. Hence service. And service worked with LG to let me know that was all in correct working condition.

I had no prior experience with a heat pump dryer and was pleasantly surprised as to how well it performs. Dries most clothes as quickly as a regular dryer but heavier items require more time. It is quiet and noticed that clothes have fewer wrinkles when taken out. Overall I am very pleased with its performance and would recommend to others.

Takes 5 hours to try a load of towels
Submitted by jrboulder -
2/17/2022
Very disappointed with this dryer. It takes at least 5 hours to dry a load of towels even with the energy saver feature off the link screen cleaned and the water reservoir empty and it was installed with the drain connected so it shouldnt even have water in the reservoir. I have had a couple of open service tickets with LG for the past 17 days and have not been contacted yet The tech apparently canceled the first one. I had such high hopes for this based on the review in consumer reports.

Love The Efficiency and How Well IT Works
Submitted by MNMama61 -
2/16/2022
Its been a couple of weeks since I started using this new dryer -- I moved to a home with a small laundry area and need an effficient team washer/dryer that was ventless. My hubs and I did some research and pick this dryer couple with the LG compact washer. I am glad we took the time to install it ourselves while I am sure the delivery team may have been able to lift the machine more easily it was well worth taking my own time to stack just an FYI to those that might be in a similar situation. This dryer has been great it took me the last couple of weeks to really understand the settings and how they equated to my actual laundry items ie towels jeans cotton vs... but now that I have that figured out I am very very pleased. The manual was really helpful which sounds silly but really will make the user happier with the results.

We now have several months experience with this new dryer and love it. We had originally ordered and installed the standard ventless and we did not like it at all. Too much humidity added to the small room. This heat pump version of the ventless dryer is terrific. Quiet efficient looks great and no added humidity to the room. This is in a small bathroom. If you have a small space and need or desire ventless this is the dryer for you. Also it has excellent capacity for its size.

Design flaw in lint trap catches all drawstrings
Submitted by Hungry dryer -

Ive had this model for 4/5 months and its destroying clothes with drawstrings. The lint trap catches the ends of the drawstrings and then everything twists. My retailer wasnt able to find any faulty or damaged parts and lg hasnt resolved it yet either. Garment bags have been suggested but that would mean 1/3 to 1/2 my laundry would be in a bag. I doubt they will dry very efficiently and Ive never had to use one before in any dryer why should I have to start now? Lg please fox this

Was really looking forward to new washer and dryer. But dryer takes forever and clothes are usually damp even after hours of drying. This is a ventless dryer which I was unaware of. I subsequently learned that ventless dryers don not do as good a job as a vented dryer. It was also VERY expensive so naturally I feel quite disappointed.

We recently purchased this dryer after completing a remodel and it has been great so far. It is incredibly quiet and energy efficient. I even found that it qualifies for a rebate from our utility provider because it is so efficient. It does not need a vent and I was able to connect the external drain myself so it automatically drains the water out as it runs.

Purchased this dryer for my parents on October 16 and it has never worked properly. It takes over 2 hours to dry clothing. Called LG and a tech came to the house who confirmed that it is not putting out heat. A new part was ordered. Tech returned last week and said the dryer should be replaced. I called LG yet again and was told it needs a new condenser. Still waiting for a working dryer for my elderly parents. In the meantime they dont have a working dryer. Better to make lemonade with this lemon.

Bought this compact apartment sized washer + dryer from Best Buy during sale. Still fairly expensive for a small machine with rather limited capacity. It does an excellent job cleaning clothes. The normal cycle is quite long but speed wash at 30 minutes works well too. Saves on water detergent. The only problem is the LG App on my iphone is difficult to work with. Ive downloaded specific cycles and then they disappear next time. The machines digital front panel also is frustrating to operate. If you only use one wash cycle one temperature theres no problem but when one needs to switch its baffling.

I did a lot of research before I bought this Dryer. It was highly rated and I now know why Ive had this Dryer for about 2 months and I can tell already how much better this dryer is then anything Ive used in the past. Not sure if its due to the Dual Inverter Heatpump or just LG making a great dryer but my clothes come out less burnt then my older dryer its really the only way I can describe it. At first I thought my clothes were still kinda wet but they are just perfectly dry without damaging the fabric.
Its also super quiet I cant believe how little noise the thing makes.
The technology is impressive it can sense how dry the clothes are and not over dry them. I havent tried the Wifi connect yet but the instructions are pretty easy and straight forward.
Highly recommend this Dryer it is pricy but its worth it to keep from damaging your clothes.

Weve been pleased with the dryer. Its capacity is perfect for a retired couple. We have an older home and the size is perfect for the space we have.
However dont buy from Home Depot. They sell it with installation but the installers dont know how to install properly. The installer removed a tube cap that was clearly marked Do not remove discarded the cap and place the drain line on the tube. Unfortunately thats not the drain. Home Depot was not able / willing to provide the missing part so Im unable to move the drain line to the proper connection. The result is that the dryer needs to be manually drained.

I bought this dryer 2 months ago and it was damaged on delivery never drained correctly and leaked water. I have tried for the last 2 months to get LG to repair it. Ive had three repair men in my house in the last three weeks and none of them can fix it. Now they will not unstack it to repair the inside of it. They want me to get it unstacked on my own so they can replace parts and then wait for them to come and test to see if they installed the correct parts. Im in a quite a dilemma. Ive called Home Depot where I bought it they ignore me completely. All they could tell me to do was call LG. Ill never buy at home Depot again and Ill never buy another LG products as long as I live.
