I brought this during the summer months. I needed cool air for the 2nd floor. It was great but the noise was quite loud. It definitely couldnt be left on all night due to the noise factor.

Product seems to do what it was designed to do. We have never had a room cooler and this unit did just that ... cooled one room. Its reasonably quiet. Installation was not bad.

I definitely have to say this air conditioner is awesome...I dont mind the tube through the window it doesnt even get in my way...cools the room at a really good temperature...Im glad I brought it

I bought this unit to replace a 10k BTU portable unit to use in a 10x10 bedroom. Unit cools but could not effectively cool the room. Might work in smaller rooms but not as good as an 8k unit.

Good unit purchased after word of mouth and seeing one in action. This unit is quiet efficient and was used to heat an upstairs section of our home. We get sun almost all day during the summer. This A/C kept the upstairs comfortable and even cooled off some of the downstairs as it was blowing air into an upstairs hallway and ultimately would send some air down to the first floor. The documentation that comes with the purchase and online materials is excellent.

The unit does a good job of cooling. Unfortunately even on the low fan setting it is noisy. And I knew this going in the condenser air being exhausted to the outside comes from inside the house so inside air the unit has cooled is sent outdoors which wastes energy. I would have purchased a window unit but local stores were out of stock.

First time ive used an indoor ac. Super easy to set up. About the same loudness as a traditional window unit. Cools my small bedroom down great. Compared to a 12000 btu traditional window unit this indoor unit down not cool as large of an area. Definitely designed to do a single enclosed room in my opinion. I do like it it works great just know the limitations of trying to cool multiple rooms with just one unit.

Great but Loud

So let me get my complaints out up front for those intested in this model. 1 it is loud now to be fair it is next to my bed right by my head but it is louder then I expected. 2 the instruction manual is so generic that it apply to any air conditioner LG makes so it doesnt help with exactly what the model can do or Tips n Tricks. Other then that my room is 11x14 and it cools it fine. I love the room to be cold and this AC makes it so cold that I have to actually turn it off this is a plus for me The timer is a little tricky to understand and the remote can be turned off while the AC is on but most of the time it will turn the dang thing off too so just leave it on. So besides the noise factor and little things that annoy me from the manual it was a great purchase and I am very happy with it.

Extremely loud and ineffective

We replaced a very old window unit with this LG portable AC. We had really high hopes for a more efficient and quieter AC. However it is extremely loud even on low setting much louder than our old window unit. It is also less effective at cooling the room than the old window unit. Unfortunately we will be returning it as it is certainly not worth the price.
